Now lets look at some technologies that can make all this happen. Wikis, blogs and RSS feeds make the C2C or P2P web happen. By exposing a simple programmatic interface, you allow users to do creative things with it. These are simple web services that typically respond with XML to http based requests. We will look at AJAX in more detail later. These technologies are not new, what is new is the adoption of standards and the maturing of several technologies around the same time. Each of them would have limited impact by itself but its the synergy of using them together that is creating the buzz around web 2.0
